Eh.. Disappointed by my valorous burn for the workout.. It was one of those nights where I felt like my heart rate was so low even though I had a good workout.. Oh well 😚 chest, quads, and 10

Took the boot camp class that my trainer usually gives on Mondays’ tonight…Unfortunately, we had to have it inside because it was on and off raining all day. Still a good class and I’m glad I actually got to try it since I usually have SGT on Mondays’ and can never take it. We did a circuit training style class with mostly cardio-based and body weight exercises, so my heart rate was pumpingggg. Then we did a short abs blast for the past 5 minutes.Β 

Definitely a nice little sweat session and cardio workout!

Today’s workout!

10 minutes of walking to warm up

Upper body:

Bent Over Rows

Alternate & Isolated Chest press

Pull Ups

Chest Flys on a flexibility ball

Lat pull downs

Push ups

Shoulder high pulls

Bicep curls

Alternating & Isolated shoulder press

Overhead tricep extensions

Post Delt flys

Dips

10 minutes on the arch trainer

Felt great! AND it was nice working out with my sister so I didn’t get bored but at the same time, no one was holding me back. Great way to start my day/weekend!

So my total body workout turned into an upper body workout..

my legs are still destroyed from the other night.. so I just focused on upper body, but i still got in a sick workout! Then i went to abs class :) 6 days straight of working out— tomorrow MAY need to be a rest day…. either that or a 45 minute cardio session with my trainer…. hmmmm!!Β 

Tonight’s cardio workout!

This morning I asked my trainer what kind of cardio I should do tonight besides doing a straight run.. Here’s what he gave me, so here’s what I did:Β 

Foam rolling/stretching

3 mins. warm up on the bikeΒ 

10 mins. on the bike of 30 sec. sprints w/ reis stance and 30 sec. off

Then I decided to do some bi’s and tri’s— Hammer curls, Overhead tricep extensions, resistance band bicep curls, dips

10 mins. on the rowing machine at a resistance of 7

5 mins. on the stairmaster at level 9

Foam rolling/stretching

Let me tell you— this wasn’t a long session by ANY means.. but holy crap— those last Β minutes on the stairmaster were sooo difficult. My legs felt super heavy and my butt/hamstrings were killinggg me. So glad I did it though- I was a sweaty beast :)Β 

I seriously wish you guys could watch or participate in my small group training class..

then you would know how sick of a workout it really is… today we did our entire class outside. It wasn’t super hot, but it definitely was really humid out I sweat my ASS off. We did 3 rounds of the circuit after a “long” warm up run (long for a warm up— not a long run in general). I was seriously beat after each round but it was sweet feeling like my entire body got worked out and no muscles were more tired than the rest.Β 

I ended up winning out of the 5 of us :) hollaaaaa

Ready for SGT tonight!

Legs are still a bit sore from Saturdays’ total body workout but I look forward to SGT each week. It’s really awesome to know that I am going to get a tough but sickkkk workout, guaranteed :)

Workout ADD…

Foam rolling then Jump rope & KB swing warm up

10 minutes at level 10 on the stairmaster

10 minutes of intervals on the spin bike

Various plank exercises (45 sec. to 1 minute each)

Stretching & foam rolling

11 minutes of incline walking on the stairmaster (speed of 4.0 with incline intervals at 5.5 or 10)

3 sets of 12 TRX pike exercises paired with 3 sets of 10 slow TRX knee tucks

Stretching

Not super long in terms of doing “endless” cardio, but I definitely got a nice sweat on and switching every 10 minutes kept me from getting bored :)
