Overall fitness goal…

is to feel 95% happy with my body… and to keep being healthy and working out to maintain that happiness.

Doesn’t sound TOO unreasonable- I mean there will always be things about your body that you may not love, but being more lean and fit will make me love that other 95% that much more..

I may not be the “thinnest” I’ve ever been…

but I am DEFINITELY in the best shape of my life. I am stronger. I have more endurance. I have more self motivation and perseverance than I ever did, during any of my several phases of working out and getting healthy.

This is how I know that this is not just a phase. I have consistently worked out 4-6 days per week on average for the past 2 years or so. I haven’t given up. Sure, I’ve had wayyyy to many cheat meals or maybe too a few too many lazy days off, but overall, I’m still here- busting my ass in the gym and trying to keep a healthy diet (and by diet I mean overall eating, not in the “i’m on a diet” sense)

Don’t forget to give yourself some credit sometimes. Be proud of your accomplishments. Don’t look back. Keep pushing, because soon enough, you’ll see your hard work pay off, and not only that, but you’ll FEEL the best you’ve felt in your life.

A few fitness goals of mine…

1. To do at least 1, completely un-assisted pull up

2. To do a handstand

3. To learn how to do cleans, jerks, and snatches (besides w/ a kettle bell, I sort of know how to do those..)

4. To be the girl all my friends come to for fitness advice :) (okay this one is sort of far out there and not really realistic, but I truly love when my friends ask me for help/tips. Makes me feel like they value and trust the knowledge I do have even though I am not a certified PT)

Personal trainers that look like they need personal trainers

i feel like this is something that not enough people think about— this should be a HUGE reason for wanting to lose weight, tone up, or get strong— it’s about YOU — not anyone else! Do it for yourself- prove to yourself that you can do this!
